Developed in partnership with Ergonomidesign, the Tegera PRO product range has revolutionised standards in hand protection.

One of the world’s foremost design awards

Ejendals has received the highest distinction in this year’s Red dot design award. For its design of the Tegera PRO product range, the company won the highly prestigious “best of the best” design award, beating off the toughest possible competition.

In competition with 43 countries and 2,548 products, Ejendals has won the “red dot: product design” category for its unique design for protective gloves with a focus on quality and fitness for use. The official award-giving ceremony will be held on 25 June at the Opera House in Essen, Germany, in the presence of more than 1,000 international guests.

Trailblazing

“We are incredibly proud of the fact that we have been presented with this professionallyrecognised award. It is fantastic for us as a company and this award will further prepare the way for our venture into the international market,” says Per-Olof Ejendal, CEO and owner of Ejendals. The Tegera PRO product range was developed in partnership with Ergonomidesign and has revolutionised standards in hand protection. The fact that more than a million gloves have been sold so far speaks for itself, as well as the enormous attention the launch has received.

Best of design

Launched in 1955, the Red dot design award is one of the most important and highly-respected design awards in the world today. The award is presented in three disciplines – product design, communication design and design concept. The prize is proof of quality and represents membership of the best in design. The contribution is judged according to degree of innovation, functionality, technical quality, ergonomics, durability and symbolic and emotional feel.
