More facilities for continued expansion
Larger warehouses, more office space and a new reception with a more inviting entrance. The dramatic expansion of recent years has required more space and improved internal logistics. Soon the latest new building project will be ready at Ejendals.
Ejendals continues to expand, with a vengeance. In recent years, exports have increased dramatically as have sales in Sweden. The company is in the middle of an extremely positive trend. “We need more space and more facilities in order to meet the ever-increasing demand. It’s a venture that will take the best part of the next three or four years,” says Mats Aspemo, administrative manager. Last year, the new glass-roofed atrium was completed as well as a number of office spaces. At the same time, improvements were made to the working environment in the form of ventilation, heating, air conditioning and light admission.
Mobile storage units
The time has come for putting a larger warehouse into operation which offers 1,300 square metres of new storage space and 3,500 pallet places. This includes mobile storage units that can be pushed together when required. “This will increase our capacity by almost 40 per cent and give us the opportunity to store, for example, seasonal goods of various kinds. This will allow us to be more flexible and meet our customers’ needs.”
Always “over-stocked”
And by that he means that Ejendals is continuously working to create maximum benefits for the customer. Reliable deliveries are a high priority for which well-functioning logistics provide an important foundation. “Our strategy is to be ‘over-stocked’ at all times. Our aim is for our customers to dispense with warehousing and rely on us instead,” he emphasises.
New reception
The building work also includes a new entrance hall with a larger reception area which will be more inviting. It will be easily accessible and clearly visible from the road. Above the reception area, six office spaces are being built as well as an additional twelve offices. “Our expansion has resulted in the recruitment of a large number of new employees for in-depth competence, and so more workplaces are needed. With this building work, we have also created more long-term planning,” says Mats Aspemo.
