Grip and Comfort Put to the Test by Car Technicians
How much difference do the right safety gloves and safety footwear really make in everyday work? To find out, we at Ejendals spent a working day at Mora Motorcenter, where technicians tested TEGERA safety gloves and JALAS safety shoes. It quickly became clear just how much grip, fit and comfort affect both working performance and physical strain.
TEGERA 8850 – Reliable Grip Even in Non-Oily Work Environments
The work does not involve particularly oily tasks, which makes the test especially interesting. It clearly shows that the Oil Grip range is not limited to oily environments but performs just as well in jobs where secure grip, control and precision are essential.
“The glove is comfortable and flexible. It feels light and breathable – much more so than gloves I’ve used before,” Robert explains.

Lightweight Safety Shoes for Mobility and Comfort – JALAS Tempus
Individual Fit Is Crucial
“My feet don’t get that enclosed, sweaty feeling you can get with tighter, poorly ventilated shoes.”

JALAS Exalter – Stability and Support You Can Feel
The contrast between the models is clear. Different feet require different levels of support, width and stability – and the right fit makes a noticeable difference, something Patric clearly experiences when trying them on.

Safety Gloves That Reduce Hand Strain
Patric has also tested TEGERA 8855. While quickly and smoothly replacing spark plugs, we talk about the importance of wearing protective gloves in everyday work.
“Working a full day without gloves is unthinkable. My hands would be full of small cuts and extremely dry from all the washing.”
He also highlights how the right safety gloves affect physical strain.
“Gloves like the 8855 provide better grip, so I don’t need to apply as much force. That makes a big difference –my hands are much less tired by the end of the day.”
Mora Motorcenter – An Employer Focused on Safety and Expertise
The visit took place at Mora Motorcenter, which works with car sales, servicing and body repair, and also operates a separate workshop for leisure vehicles such as motorcycles, ATVs and snowmobiles. They are an authorised Kia dealer and service workshop in northern Dalarna.
Safety is a natural part of everyday work, particularly when working with electric vehicles, where multiple training courses and certifications are required before technicians are permitted to work on the vehicles.
The same strong focus on safety applies in the leisure vehicle workshop. Here, technicians tested TEGERA 8855 safety gloves and JALAS Exalter safety footwear, and the feedback was equally positive. The combination of reliable grip, durability and stable support was well suited to the varied and physically demanding tasks involved in servicing leisure vehicles.

When the Right PPE Makes a Real Difference at Work
The test clearly demonstrates how versatile PPE from Ejendals performs in real working conditions. Across both workshops, TEGERA safety gloves and JALAS safety footwear contributed to improved grip, comfort and reduced physical strain – whether the work was oily or dry, and regardless of the working environment.
When personal protective equipment is adapted to both the individual and the task, it becomes a natural part of the working day – and makes a genuine difference over time.
