What makes PrimaLoft® Bio™ truly unique is its ability to return to materials found in nature. Over time, synthetic fibers from clothing, footwear, and gear can shed microfibers that end up in our oceans and landfills. PrimaLoft® Bio™ fibers are engineered to biodegrade more quickly in these environments, helping to reduce the long-term impact of microplastics.
This process happens thanks to specially designed fibers that are more appetizing to naturally occurring microbes. These microbes break down the fibers, leaving behind only water, CO₂, biomass, and humus — all natural components of the earth.
