Ejendals’ new TEGERA 7787 welding glove has been crowned the global winner of the prestigious DuPont Kevlar® Innovation Award for Industrial PPE. Following the A+A award ceremony, Anders Näs, Product Development Manager at Ejendals, reflected on the TEGERA 7787 welding glove’s global recognition and the teamwork behind its success.

At this year’s A+A Trade Fair in Düsseldorf, our Product Development Manager Anders Näs proudly accepted the award on behalf of the entire TEGERA team. The DuPont Kevlar® Innovation Award celebrates groundbreaking design and performance in personal protective equipment, and TEGERA 7787 welding glove stood out for its exceptional combination of comfort, protection, and usability.

This recognition from one of the world’s most respected material innovators confirms what we already knew — that true innovation happens when safety, craftsmanship, and passion come together. The TEGERA 7787 welding glove is more than a safety glove — it’s proof of what can be achieved when great minds collaborate with one shared goal: to protect the hands that build our world.

Welding glove made from premium quality black goat grain leather with a cow split cuff reinforced with canvas. The high-quality materials offer a perfect fit and fleece inside makes the glove comfortable. Gun grip reinforcements provide added durability and grip, and control patches protect against both abrasion and heat. Shortly after the award ceremony at A+A, we caught up with Anders Näs, to hear his thoughts on the TEGERA 7787 welding glove’s global recognition and what this achievement means for the TEGERA team.

When you heard that TEGERA® 7787 had won – what was your first reaction?
– I am so happy — it’s such a great feeling! I’ve known about the DuPont Kevlar® Innovation Award for a couple of years and have dreamed of one day winning it with a product — and now that dream has come true.
 
What does this award from DuPont mean to you and to Ejendals?
– It’s an international recognition from one of the world’s most respected companies in material and safety innovation.
 
How does it feel to receive this kind of acknowledgment?
– I’d say it feels a bit unreal — both for me and for our fantastiv TEGERA team. Of course, I can’t speak for everyone, but above all, it’s a wonderful recognition that we, as a team, are doing great things together.
This is an award from one of the world’s most respected brands, and on an international level too — which makes it even more special. It’s fantastic to see our products, now recognized by DuPont, reaching even more users, and that this one can proudly represent not only the TEGERA® brand but also Kevlar®.
 
What do you think makes this particular glove stand out so much that it’s being recognized globally?
– The user-friendliness combined with the high level of protection. A product that protects so well but is still comfortable — and that, thanks to all the high-quality materials, allows the user to do their job safely and securely.
 
If you had to name one thing that really makes users’ work easier with the TEGERA 7787, what would it be?
– That you can do your job with the glove on! With the 7787, you can perform all tasks without having to take it off or struggle.
 
How are you celebrating this award? Is it coffee, a toast, or high-fives at the booth?
– There will definitely be some high-fives, but mostly some cake when we’re back at the office so everyone can join in and celebrate!
