Die Leather Working Group ist eine gemeinnützige Multi-Stakeholder-Organisation, die sich für die Reduzierung der Umweltbelastung durch die Lederherstellung einsetzt. Sie legt die LWG-Standards fest, eine Reihe von Umweltkriterien, anhand derer Lederhersteller unabhängig geprüft und zertifiziert werden. Die Leather Working Group engagiert sich für die kontinuierliche Verbesserung der Lederherstellung und fördert die Transparenz in der Lieferkette durch die kontinuierliche Entwicklung ihrer Standards.
