EU-ympäristömerkki Vuonna 1992 perustetun eurooppalaisen ympäristömerkkijärjestelmän tavoitteena on edistää ympäristöystävällisten tuotteiden ja palvelujen kehittämistä ja käyttöä.
EU-ympäristömerkillä varustetut tuotteet kuuluvat oman luokkansa ympäristöystävällisimpiin vaihtoehtoihin. Merkin myöntää riippumaton organisaatio tuotteen elinkaaren kaikki vaiheet sisältävien ekologisten kriteerien perusteella. Nämä kriteerit asettaa useista sidosryhmistä koostuva paneeli, ja Euroopan komissio hyväksyy ne virallisesti.
