Quando le è stato assegnato il compito di progettare le nuove calzature Exalter, Eija e il suo team avevano in mente diversi obiettivi. In primo luogo, volevano soddisfare le richieste dei consumatori attenti all’ambiente utilizzando per le scarpe anche materiali riciclati e a base biologica. In secondo luogo, volevano arricchire la collezione Exalter introducendo modelli migliorati, pur mantenendo la calzata perfetta e la struttura per cui sono rinomate le Exalter. Infine, si sono impegnati per creare un prodotto durevole che potesse resistere alla prova del tempo, riducendo la necessità di frequenti sostituzioni e, sostanzialmente, preservando le risorse naturali.
