Il Leather Working Group è un’organizzazione senza scopo di lucro multi-stakeholder che si impegna per ridurre l’impatto ambientale della produzione di pelle. L’organizzazione stabilisce gli standard LWG: una serie di criteri ambientali in base ai quali i produttori di pelle vengono sottoposti a verifiche e certificazioni indipendenti. Il Leather Working Group si impegna per migliorare continuamente la produzione di pelle e promuove la trasparenza della catena di fornitura attraverso il continuo sviluppo dei suoi standard.
