De JALAS Zenit Evo 7198 op de proef gesteld: de beoordeling van winterschoenen door een professional

Als je in de winter buiten werkt, moet je uitrusting goed presteren - vooral je werkschoenen. Daarom werd de JALAS Zenit Evo 7198 op de proef gesteld door Daniel Eld, CEO en machinist bij AB Mobilkranar en Dirtpro. Of hij nu kraanwerk verricht of zwaar grond- en funderingswerk doet: Daniel weet wat er nodig is om uitrusting te laten presteren in natte, koude en veeleisende omgevingen.

Daniel heeft tientallen jaren ervaring in het werken met mobiele kranen en grondwerk. Hij is dus een expert op het gebied van werkkleding. Onlangs testte hij de hoge JALAS Zenit Evo 7198 winterveiligheidsschoenen in een van de zwaarste omstandigheden: een échte Scandinavische winter.

"Ze hebben het allemaal moeten doorstaan: smeltende sneeuw, ijzige modder en doorweekte grond. Ze presteerden heel erg goed, vooral omdat ze waterafstotende eigenschappen hebben en niet volledig waterdicht zijn. Ze zijn voornamelijk gemaakt voor koude omstandigheden en niet voor constante nattigheid. Daarom vind ik dat ze over het algemeen geweldig presteerden. In extreme situaties drong er wel wat water binnen, maar ik ben onder de indruk," zei Daniel.

Ondanks de natte en ruige omgeving viel de mate van comfort het meest op. "Ze zijn erg comfortabel. Dat is hun beste eigenschap," merkt hij op.

Daniel found the boots to be very warm, sometimes even requiring a thinner sock on milder days. This affected the fit slightly, so he recommends paying attention to sizing: “With the right socks, the fit was perfect.” Having tested several boots from JALAS and other brands over the years, Daniel calls this pair a standout:

“Best winter boot I’ve had, especially if you have slightly wider feet.”

The design also caught his eye: “They look great. I really like the all-black with yellow details — subtle but stylish.”
