Kuinka välttää liukastumistapaturmat tänä talvena

Talvikaudella on erityisen tärkeää varmistaa, että työjalkineissasi on riittävä pito estämään liukastumiset ja että pysyt lämpimänä.

Lämpimänä pysyminen merkitsee parempaa suojausta

Epämukavuus voi johtaa työkyvyn heikkenemiseen. Se vaikuttaa kykyyn ajatella ja havainnoida. Kun keskittymiskyky heikkenee, virheiden ja tapaturmien riski kasvaa.

Rasitusvammojen riski kasvaa, jos nivelet ja lihakset kylmenevät. Kylmeneminen johtaa myös lihasten toiminnan heikkenemiseen sekä voiman ja tarkkuuden vähenemiseen.
Suurimmat riskit liittyvät kylmyyden ja kovan tuulen yhdistelmään, koska viilentävä vaikutus voi olla vakava.

  •  Kun alusta muuttuu: esimerkiksi siirtyessäsi alueelta, jolta lumi on aurattu, alueelle, jolla on lunta.
  • Kun sää muuttuu, varsinkin lämpötilan ollessa nollan tuntumassa.
  • Kun nojaat sivulle.
  • Kun on pimeää.
  • Kun sinulla on kiire.
  • Kun kannat jotakin käsissäsi.

Liukastumistapaturmien välttämiseksi tarvitset tietysti jalkineet, joissa on tarvittava pito estämään liukastumiset. Lisäksi työnteossa on huomioitava vaaratilanneilmoitukset ja tehtävä riskinarviointeja.
