Het systeem voor koudeclassificatie is gebaseerd op de voering in JALAS-schoenen. Het toont hoe deze zijn aangepast aan verschillende weersomstandigheden. Elk symbool staat voor een categorie - Koel, Koud, Zeer Koud of Extreem Koud - met een uitleg over de voering en isolatie van de schoen. Omdat iedereen kou anders ervaart, moeten deze classificaties worden gezien als hulpmiddel en niet als strenge voorschriften. Ze helpen je inzicht te krijgen in het warmteniveau en de bescherming die je kunt verwachten. Rating – Cool
Lining: Technical fleece – a micro-thin polyester fabric providing softness, warmth, and breathability.
Best for: Mildly cool conditions.
Rating – Cold
Lining/Insulation: Materials such as Thinsulate™ or faux fur lining.
Best for: Cold conditions where added insulation is needed.
Rating – Very Cold
Lining/Insulation: Fully winter-lined with a mix of insulation (e.g., Thinsulate™) and warm linings like faux fur.
Best for: Very cold winter days with long exposure outdoors.
Rating – Extreme Cold
Lining/Insulation: Built for harsh conditions with a combination of insulation materials, fur, and a waterproof membrane.
Best for: Extreme cold and wet environments.
