Så undviks halkolyckor i vinter
Under vintersäsongen är det särskilt viktigt att se till att hålla sig varm och att ha arbetsskor med rätt halkskydd.
Varm innebär trygg
Obehag kan leda till försämrad arbetsförmåga. Förmågan att tänka och fokusera påverkas och när koncentrationsförmågan försämras ökar risken för misstag och olyckor.
Risken för belastningsskador är högre om leder och muskler är kalla. Nedkylning resulterar också i minskad muskelfunktion, styrka och precision.
Den största risken är låg temperatur i kombination med hög vindhastighet, eftersom den kylande effekten är stor.
Risken för halkolyckor ökar när:
- underlaget förändras, till exempel när man går från en snöröjd yta till en som inte är det
- vädret ändras, särskilt runt noll grader
- man lutar sig i sidled
- det är mörkt
- man har bråttom
- man bär saker i händerna.
För att motverka risken för halkolyckor behövs självklart skor med adekvat halkskydd. Samt ett aktivt arbete med incidentrapporter och riskbedömningar.
